Theater Experience
I was convinced to start acting in the Spring of my Junior year of high school. In retrospect, it was inevitable; the vast majority of my friends were involved in the theater.
When I started at Tech, I immediately sought out a theater group, and I found DramaTech, Georgia Tech’s student-run theater group, which also has the distinction of being the longest continuously operating theater group in the South.
Acting
I had the opportunity to act in three shows in high school. I was the father in “Mother’s Day”, the principal in Up the Down Staircase, and the mayor in Bye Bye Birdie (I may have been typecast a little). My acting experience at DramaTech is summarized on my IMDT profile.
Production
I served as DramaTech’s Marketing Director both from May 2008 to May 2009 and from May 2011 to December 2011. Even when not doing so in an official capacity, I was active in helping with design of promotional materials.
